Briland Zolani is an Intellectual Property (IP) and Digital Innovation company based in Canada and the United States. Briland Zolani is developing, organizing and exploring a portfolio of proprietary concepts that link Intellectual Property with digital systems and online environments for engagement.
Briland Zolani is not a law firm or service provider. Instead, the organization functions as a structured innovation portfolio of original ideas, branded systems and conceptual technologies that demonstrate how IP can evolve from a purely documentary function to become the basis for practical digital systems.
The foundation of Briland Zolani is based upon the simple idea that intellectual property is not just something to be protected (i.e. patented, trademarked, etc.), but also something to be developed into systems, experiences, and digital frameworks of all types.
Concepts related to intellectual property rights, patent systems, trademark development and international innovation frameworks relevant in Canada and the United States are of particular interest to us. Our focus however is on the development and application of these ideas in the form of systems and experiences that allow for their best use.
We explore how to bridge intellectual property (IP) with a digital execution. That means we design web sites, develop digital marketing strategies and work out user interaction through systems.
We build a portfolio of proprietary concepts related to interaction in the digital space and building out new methods of innovation.
The various systems and ideas we develop relate to issues of: attention capture; guided engagement; software (infrastructure) development; community development and environment creation; and interactive (digital) experiences.
We look at these concepts through the lens of users interacting with digital systems. We design our systems to handle users’ initial contact with a system, then deeper engagement with the system, and finally long-term participation with the system and its community.
Innovations are being developed within a portfolio of proprietary concepts which explore the many aspects of a user’s experience of interacting with digital systems. Each of the systems developed within a variety of categories to represent different levels of user interaction from first contact with a system to deeper engagement with it over time, and finally long-term participation within it.
Intellectual property is a core component of what we do. We look for ways to develop ideas into a structured format, for ways to represent them in a digital format, and for ways to apply them in practical formats. We look at concepts related to intellectual property rights, the patent system, trademark development, and international innovation formats, and we apply that to work we do with clients in Canada and the USA.
Concepts related to intellectual property rights, patent systems, trademark development and even international innovation frameworks within Canada and the United States are explored.
Our focus is not on the legal execution of ideas, but rather on the development of ideas and their implementation in the design of systems to be put to practical use within the intellectual property space as it currently exists.
We are not a law firm, and we do not offer any legal services or representation.
We believe that the most valuable form of innovation is one that is structured, understandable and is able to evolve over time.
Unlike so many innovation companies that treat individual ideas as if they are stand alone concepts which can be brought to market in a relatively short period of time, Briland Zolani structures all of the work it undertakes within a systems framework.
Through a systems-based approach we can study the relationship between IP, digital design and user engagement in a more complete manner.
The long-term vision of Briland Zolani is to have a portfolio of systems based innovation systems that are built upon Intellectual Property (IP) that can be developed, applied and exploited within the digital environment of today and the future.
This includes approaches for attention and engagement, communication, software design, and online interaction that are enabled by IP-structured concepts.
Our goal is to design and build frameworks for creators, businesses and organizations to develop innovative ideas in the ever-changing digital world.
